1. Features
UNISTAT is manufactured from graphite-filled PTFE yarn. The high level of graphite minimises the coefficient of expansion considerably ensuring UNISTAT is pressure resistant and a good heat conductor. Due to its chemical stability and high sealing &#118alue (k f < 10-20 m 2 ) UNISTAT is particularly suitable for applications in the chemical industry. Due to its low coefficient of expansion UNISTAT withstands extreme changes in temperature. UNISTAT materials are approved for use in the food processing industries by the MPA. The soluble chloride content is under 20 ppm. UNISTAT is therefore particularly suited for nuclear power station valves. To avoid gap extrusion at temperatures above 200 °C UNISTAT is used with end rings of GRAFIFLEX 6501-60.
